A PeakPilot alternative for European battery studies

If PeakPilot doesn't fit your sites or your budget: what Zorowatt does differently, what it costs per year and how to move a site over.

PeakPilot is Dutch web software for energy advisers, installers and asset suppliers: it imports quarter-hour data and models the grid connection, PV, EV charging and a battery together, with NPV and payback. Zorowatt also starts from the meter data, then rebuilds the bill under sourced Dutch, German and Romanian tariffs and checks it against the invoices before it sizes the battery. (peakpilot.nl)

Why Zorowatt

Five reasons consultants pick it.

  1. 01

The bill is checked against the invoices

Zorowatt rebuilds the bill from the meter data and sets it against each invoice, line by line, before it sizes anything. None of the tools we compared says it does this (checked 30 October 2026).

  2. 02

Dutch, German and Romanian tariffs, with sources

The 2026 tariffs of Liander, Stedin, Enexis, NEW Netz, Netze BW, RheinNetz and the Romanian ANRE zones are built in, each linked to its source. US tools leave European tariffs to you, in dollars.

  3. 03

    Batteries from any maker

A database of 44 commercial products, every spec with its source. The free tools of Sungrow, SMA, Huawei and Victron size their own hardware only.

  4. 04

Prices on the page, from €0

A free analysis and free tools that need no account; Starter at €49 a month. Furo, Tibo, Gridcog and Energy Toolbase show no price before a call.

  5. 05

In the browser, in your language

A year of quarter-hours is simulated in about a second, with nothing to install, in English, Dutch, German and Romanian. HOMER, PVsyst and PV*SOL run on Windows.

Price per year

PeakPilot
Starter €588 a year (no sizing, no PDF); Professional €1,788 a year per user
Zorowatt
Starter €588 a year (€348 at the founding price) · Pro €1,788 a year for 3 seats · single analyses €15

As each vendor's page states it; prices in other currencies are not converted.

How to switch

Upload the same quarter-hour file (Excel or CSV) you used in PeakPilot; Zorowatt lists every assumption it makes about it.

  1. Upload the site's meter data to the free data checker or the Workspace: every assumption made reading the file is listed.
  2. Pick the site's tariff and enter the invoices: the bill check shows whether the baseline matches before anything is sized.
  3. Size the battery, compare it with your earlier study, and send the client the PDF report.
Short answer
When to pick PeakPilot
Pick PeakPilot if you work only in the Netherlands and want one model of the grid connection, PV, EV charging and the battery together, with its lead widget and AI adviser.
When to pick Zorowatt
Pick Zorowatt if you want battery sizing and a client PDF on the entry plan, a white-label report for three seats on Pro, the bill checked against the invoices, and German and Romanian sites too.

In short

PeakPilot is the closest Dutch tool to Zorowatt and publishes the same two list prices, €49 and €149. What they buy differs: PeakPilot's €49 plan has no sizing and no PDF, and its €149 plan is per user, without white-label. Zorowatt's €49 plan sizes the battery and writes the report, and its €149 plan covers three seats with your logo. PeakPilot models EV charging in more detail and offers a lead widget, which Zorowatt does not.
